I have been training again for my THIRD competition...
it is in LESS than two weeks!!!

I have been doing workouts TWO times a day PLUS school, starting my new business, and trying to take care of everything else :-/

LADIES:
Why are you so afraid of lifting weights!?!?!
NO they will not make you "big and bulky"
No they will not "make you look like a man"
Weight training is one of the BEST things you can do when trying to lose weight.
It will help mold and sculpt your body when you start to shed those extra calories! 
It will be VERY hard for you to "look like a man" or get "big and bulky"
That takes YEARS plus all kinds of supplements.

So stop avoiding the weights!!!

and learn to LOVE the body you were given.
Losing weight is a journey about learning who you are and loving everything about yourself!
Stop trying to compare yourself to others and just focus on YOU!

Happy Tuesday!!
Today it is an AMAZING 85 degrees outside. this makes me VERY happy! 
Summer is FINALLY hear and i am SO SO SO excited about all of the fun things i have planned for the next few months!!

I have been a BUSY bee the past few weeks!!

To all the mom's out there...i hope you guys had an amazing mothers day!
This year i got to go to the Cardinals game with my Best Friend and her mom!
A lot of people do not know this...but i lost my mom a few years ago. 
So holidays like these can sometimes be VERY hard. But that is why i have GREAT friends who usually try to do things with me to help me keep my mind off of not having my mom here with me on these type of holidays

Driving to the game i had a front row view of the arch. so i def has to take a picture to share with you guys!

I am from Texas...so there for i can not root for the cardinals.  i am however a ranger and astro's fan !! (Since i am from Texas!)  So i did not wear any cardinals gear to the game but it was fun getting to see the cardinals LOSE! LoL

For those of you who are new to my blog, 
I have deemed 2013 the year of Fitness!

This was a goal that i set with a few friends of mine.
We decided that each month this year we would do some kind of race or obstacle course.
Yes that is right, we signed up for 13 races!

Most of them and fun and different so we are not just running a boring 5K.
We are doing things like the color run, the martini mile, and a few other races that will be fun to compete in.
A few weeks ago we for sure did the hardest challenge of the year. It is called 

With this challenge you HAVE to prepare months in advance.  This challenge is not for the weak!
You walk 10+ miles, it is 12+ hours long, and you have to carry your 30 lb ruck sack along with other items THE WHOLE TIME!

This was a true test of my strength and ability.
we did push ups...leg kicks, bear crawls on land and in the COLD water...

 we carried this 35 foot tree for THREE MILES


But most importantly I learned how lucky we are to live in the a country that is free and guarded by so many military members that sacrifice so much for us each day.

You meet some amazing people who push you and help you to push yourself mentally and physically through the challenge.  It is an AMAZING experience and i cant wait to do it again in August! 


So if you are looking for a GREAT physical challenge I HIGHLY suggest the Go Ruck Challenge!
It was by far one of the hardest things that i have done physically.  But it was so rewarding making it through the night and earning my patch.  I have made some amazing friends from the challenge and it is an experience i will never forget.

Lately it seems as if my weekend just FLIES BY!!
Not enough hours in the day to get everything done!!

I didnt realize so many people enjoyed it! I got a few emails from people who were sad that they did not have LoL Sunday last week!

WHAT you put into your body is MORE important than the workouts you do.
You have to fuel your body with the right foods in order to get the best results you want!!
Cut out highly processed foods, foods high in fat, fried foods, or any other foods that you know are not the best choice. 
You do not have to cut them out all at once!
The best way is to slowly do it!
The first week cut out friend foods...
another week cut out fast food
another week cut out another bad food habit you have
They key is to slowly start to make positive healthy food choices

This is so important to remember!
I know for me personally I’ve only lost 2.5 lbs but I feel like it looks as if I lost more … Because I’m toning up and muscle weighs more than fat! :)

Hey my fellow bloggers!!
Ok Ok...i know i have been SLACKING big time with my blog BUT i have a great reason!!
I would like to introduce to you guys my NEW BUSINESS!!!
It is called Lone Star Physiques.
Yup that is our awesome logo! 
A friend of ours came up with it.

A friend of mine and I decided to open a health/fitness studio in the town that i currently live in.
We offer personal training services, circuit training classes, and any other health and fitness needs!
We DO offer online/distance training!! We provide workout plans and meal plans for anyone who contact us!
We have created VERY reasonable prices
and for the month of May ALL of our prices are 50% OFF
I KNOW!!!
So yea...that has taken up ALL of my free time the past few weeks.
Plus keeping up with my school schedule and working at my full time job plus modeling and training...I HAVE A FULL PLATE!! LoL
But i have managed to balance it all and the only area i was slacking in was this blog so i think i was doing pretty darn good!!
So yea...it is a GREAT feeling to open your own business!
I am so excited to be able to help people each day to reach their goals.
I am so blessed to have been able to find such an amazing business partner and to have all of the opportunities that have come to us.
