...Bikini Competition #2...

As Promised here is the update about the competition I did a few weeks ago!
For my new followers i participate in NPC Bikini Competitions

NO these are not your spring break bikini competitions
You have to prepare for MONTHS to compete and do good in these competitions
It requires dedication, motivation, a strict diet, and a lot of time in the gym!


This time i was lucky enough to have a few girls from my area travel with me and do the competition
This was a BIG competition with over 200 competitors competing that weekend



My two other friends placed in the top 5! 
This got them medals and possibly the chance to compete at the next BIG competition.
I did not place as high as they did BUT i did still do really good and i had an amazing time!
I do plan on competing again in June so i just started preparing for that competition! 
It is 10 weeks away and i want to place in the top 5!!! (and get a medal! )

Like i said before i had an amazing time! You get to meet so many amazing women who have all been working hard and working towards the same goal.

Happy Wednesday!!!
THIS WEEK HAS BEEN GOING BY SO SLLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!
LoL
Seriously ! I am SO SO SO ready for this weekend to get here.
I am sure you are wanting to know why (and if you don't want to know why 2 bad because i am about to tell you! LoL)
This Saturday i will step on the stage at 11:00 AM to compete in my 2nd Bikini Competition!
I have been in training for the past 12 weeks!
This means strict diet...no drinking...and for the past 3 weeks i have been doing 2 a days at the gym (early AM cardio PLUS evening cardio and weight lifting)
Yes...i have clocked in a lot of hours in the gym this past 12 weeks!
And i have LOVED every second of it!

Here is a picture of me on the stage back in October (just 5 months ago!)

i did take about 2 weeks off and then enjoyed Thanksgiving, My birthday, and Xmas.  
But i still stuck to my workouts and still ate pretty healthy. (i did have a few treats while i was at home in Texas.  Mexican food is my WEAKNESS! LoL)

I think for this show i will wear the same black suit in the picture above (the orange suite i bought is still a little too snug :-( i think i ordered it one size too small so i still need to work on my legs/butt in order for it to fit the way i want)  I may have my hair the same OR it will be straight.  and i got new jewelry for this show! 


This upcoming show is in St. Louis and it is a PRETTY BIG SHOW!
So i am def nervous and honestly do not expect to place very high since i am new to all of this but i do hope to at least place in the top 10!!

So on Saturday while you are all sleeping in and enjoying your pancakes and bacon have an extra piece for me! LoL
I will get to feast on pizza, chips, and cheese cake late Saturday night and I CAN NOT WAIT!

Mr. Awesome designed a shirt to wear to the competition to support me and it is SO CUTE!
I will for sure post pictures when i have some.

*sigh* well it is time to snack on my chicken breast and asparagus.  
3 more days until i step on the stage!
but more exciting is that in 3 more days i can have a REAL meal! LoL

Happy Hump Day!!!

Today is Wednesday and today is the day i share with you the things that have been going on in my life for the past week!!


I VOTED!!! I got to do early voting this year. is your VOICE going to be heard?

the competition was a BLAST!

I had SO SO SO Much fun. i met some amazing people and i can not wait to compete again.
I for sure have binged on sugar and carbs but back to training today so back to my strict diet!

me and my gals all met at my FAVORITE place The Drunken Fish...sushi...martinin's...and of course dessert!!

For my competition...
I was in two different divisions
i got 4th place in one division and 5th place in the other division



it was an AMAZING experience   
I met some AMAZING people.  It was so empowering to be around people who have been working SO hard over the past few months.  no one was mean everyone was so up beat and helpful and i enjoyed every second of it! I wish i would have placed in the top 3 BUT with that being my first show i still have SO much to work on and SO much to change before next time. 
I had fun and i can not wait to do it again!

To be honest there were people of ALL ages competing 
The oldest....a 74 year old man with the body of a Greek god! LoL
I kid you not! the only thing that had aged was his hair but he looked amazing and was the life of the party! 
There were also a ton of moms who were in the figure division.
It was just so interesting to see so many different kinds of people that were there

Well i hope you guys are having a good week! 
I know i am a little less stressed out now not having to worry about this show anymore!
I probably wont do another show until early next year BUT i am going to start training NOW so i will be where i want to be! It is "off season" but there is still SO much work i need to do in the gym!

Hey guys!!

Ok Ok...can i PLEASE tell you about my day....


So far today i have:
8:00 am - took med school block test
10:00 am - got my early morning cadrio in (since this is my final week before my competition i am doing two-a-days with my workouts! yea so much fun!!)
12:00-went to wally world and stocked up on more chicken and turkey since i am eating A LOT of it this week
1:00 pm- cleaned up my room! It looked like hurricane Stephanie had swept through! the last few weeks i have been SO busy with school and training i let things kinda pile up :-/
3:00 pm: workout #2 for the day!
5:00 pm- training session for the day! (i am a personal trainer on the side :-)  )
6:00 pm- head to my part time job at the hospital
and here we are now!
I have no idea how i am still full of energy right now and my diet is all screwed up...all this working out is wearing me out...and after this weekend i will def have to take a mini vacation away from the gym. that will last only about a day...LoL but hey! I def need a little break!!!

*sigh* 
i will NOT complain! 
I do love being busy! It makes me feel like i get so much more out of the day!
BUT some days i do wish things would slow down...and that is what tuesday is for! :-)
all i have planned so far is class in the AM and workout in the PM. 

Oh and my competition is SATURDAY!!!!!
I have been preparing for this for the past 14 weeks.
i have put a lot of sweat...and hard work!
Missed meals...missed going out with friends...missed a lot of good eating and drinking to get here
i am SELF MADE! No coach...all ME!
So i hope that i am able to place in the top this weekend.
i have been really working hard and i have sacrificed a lot to get here.

Oh Wednesday...we meet AGAIN!
Has this week been BUSY for anyone else!?!?
It just seems like my To Do List is NEVER ENDING!!
So much to do and not enough time!!!
*sigh*
I think i need an assistant....LoL

Well here is my past week (in a  nutshell)

I deem this week...the week of cooking/trying new things!!
Yes my diet is currently pretty strict (FYI 3 weeks until my competition!! WOOT WOOT!!)
I made my own home make HEALTHY peanut butter!


i made some egg white breakfast muffins!
I had to come up with some quick and easy things since i am on the go ALL THE TIME!
It saves me so much time and  hassle to just have something to grab and eat on the go!
 

This past week was DOOMS day! I had to make sure i had lost enough weight and body fat to enter into my competition ..and guess what...all the hard work in the gym...all the cutting out my favorite foods...and I DID IT! I lost my goal weight ( i actually went UNDER it...and made my body fat percentage!! 

low calorie...low fat...low carb...and HIGH in protein...oh did i mention it taste like DARK CHOCOALTE!?!? I made these amazing treats!!! Recipie to pop up on my health and fitness site TOMORROW! so if you need a good snack alternative please check it out!


may i introduce to you... Fiesta Lime Salad...i created it...and it is TO DIE FOR!!
OMG i would eat this everyday if i could!! LoL
see eating healthy and CLEAN does not have to be boring and bland!


Well that is it for me! im gonna turn off the computer and STUDY! 
i have a test in a few weeks but i want to make sure i am ready for this one...it has a TON of information that i need to make sure i know :-/ 
oh school...so exciting!!! LoL

Here it is...
the day i have been waiting for....
i FINALLY ordered my bikini for the fitness competition in October!!

Here is what i got:

I am still so confident yet so nervous to compete!
This has been such an amazing journey and the changes that i see in my body i am loving!
I even went and bought some new workout clothes/shoes (since my others were slightly 2 big!!)

So far here is my update:
Over the last month i have lost 5 lbs
i have lost a little over 2 inches in my waist
and i have lost about 2% percent body fat
yea talk about awesome! My hard work in the gym is finally showing and paying off!

They say you are suppose to get a color that pops! 
Since i have a nice chocolate color i usually look pretty good in oranges, yellows, or light green.
I did not like the color selection for the yellows and greens...so i chose orange.
I did spend a little extra to get some sparkly attachments

i could have gotten a "ready to order" suit...which is cheaper...but i had one huge dilemma (which is not really a bad dilemma but it does not help...) all the ready order suits has small bikini tops! And i am a little blessed in my chest area.  i wanted to get a suit that would fit comfortably and i did not want to look like my girls were going to jump out while i am on stage!! LoL

So i just dished out the extra bucks for a custom suit.  i hope to be able to wear it for a few different competitions i have signed up for...so i will for sure get my money worth!

Training for this competition has been such a journey and appreciate anyone who is pushing me to work harder to reach my personal health and fitness goals!



I got TONS of emails from followers requesting tips and suggestions to help get them kick started on their own health and fitness goals!
Well i have some AMAZING news for you!
I have another website i created dedicated JUST for health and fitness topics!
I post recipes, exercise tips, workouts, motivation....anything you will need!
I target my site for any health and fitness questions! and if you need personal help please feel free to email me with your questions and concerns!

WAIT!!! There is more!!!!

I recently found this AMAZING website (that has an app for your phone or ipad!!)
It is called:


myfitnesspal.com is a website that you can use to help get you started on your health and fitness goals.

you start by filing out the questionnaire (height, weight, target weight goal...)
Once you fill out all of that this site will calculate how many calories you can eat.  It breaks it down to how many calories...carbs....fats....sugars you can have for that day!
You can enter in your workouts and the program will ADD calories for your day. 

You can write notes to yourself.  It is pretty much an AMAZING online fitness journal.
You can keep up with the app on your phone/ipad and log in online to check it if you need 2!

It is a GREAT app and i suggest EVERYONE use it no matter how big or small your health and fitness goals are.  You can add friends to send you messages and keep you motivated!

Ok i will stop nagging about this program...LoL
No this was not a paid post...i just use it everyday and thought it would be a great tool to share with you guys since i got so many questions about health and fitness !

So...

(2) check out the my  fitness pal website/app and see how it can help YOU get on track with your health and fitness goals! No goal is too big or too small! So stand up and make a change today!
