Over the past few months i have been "detoxing" my life of people who just do not deserve my time.
I am a very giving and loving person and once you are my "friend" i pretty much treat you like family. Well over the years i have learned that some people just like to take advantage of my kindness...and it is for that reason i have started to cut the cord on some "relationships" with people that i know
Some people it was easier to do than with others...but i know that it was for the best.
I do not want a part time friend! I want a friend who will be there when they say they will be there. and i take that mentality when i am in any kind of relationship. I guess i have set high standards for the people that i am around but i do not regret it! I look at all the friends that i do have and i LOVE every second i am around them. I have such an amazing group of friends that i do get people tell me quite frequently that they wish they had friends like mine (or they wish i could be their friend and hang out with them more...LoL) i guess detoxing the part time people is a good thing and can be seen by other people
I like to live a drama free...very happy...up beat...up lifting life
All of my friends put in 110 % effort when it comes to being there for each other and anytime we plan a trip or go somewhere we are the center of attention because we all get along so well and just have an amazing time.
So don't be afraid to let some people go! it may be hard at first...but if it is better for you in the long run sometimes you have to do what is best for you!

I couldn't agree more! I am very lucky to have a great group of drama free friends.
Hilarious quote, but as truthful as truthful can be. I adopted a motto in 2010 which states You Win Some, You Lose Some...You Lose Some to Win Some.
So, yes, that's exactly how I'm rolling...
Loved the post.
I love the quote! Sadly there are so many people that will take advantage of kindness.
Thanks for stopping by :)
I love your blog!!
I'm so glad you stumbled upon my blog! This topic today is one that I am passionate about too, and I think you spoke about it in the right way... it is so easy to make this subject sound negative! Thank you so much for posting this.
Amen! Sometimes you just have to look out for you and what God wants to do in your life! Thanks for stopping by! :)
I wholeheartedly agree ;)
Stumbled upon your blog and just wanted to leave a comment, check out mines when you have time!
Hi there! Thank you for commenting on my little blog. I think this is a great post. I had to do the same thing a few years ago to people who were "toxic." It's a hard, but in the end, it's for the best!
It's very true. I'm the same way. I'm my friends agree that I'm "fiercely loyal" to the people in my life. The older I've gotten, the clearer certain relationships become. Without the convenience of school or jobs, I've learned who sticks around and still puts effort into the friendship. So cheers to true friendships!
hahaha this made me laugh.
I have "detoxed" my life of negative people on several occasions. It can be tough but so very beneficial!
Now I am trying to think if there is anyone I should let go of in my life...haha...hmmm
I hear ya girl. Sometimes cutting some relationships is a necessary, much needed part a person's life. Good for you.
LOVE the 1st one!! ;) Following you back!! THANKS for stopping by my chaos!!
This seems to be a recurring theme in the blogosphere! I only notice because I've been going through the same thing!
I like the way you put this though.
